who we are

We’re healing skin differently.

Our focus is solely on medical dermatology, and we do not perform any cosmetic procedures or laser treatments. We are committed to managing the most pressing and important medical concerns of our patients, with a particular emphasis on complex cases, including autoimmune conditions and systemic diseases.

Our mission is to help patients feel comfortable in their skin through personalized and compassionate care. We prioritize building long-term, trusting relationships with our patients and their families, ensuring that every individual feels valued and supported. Our collaboration with specialists in allergy, rheumatology, and other fields allows us to provide comprehensive care for even the most complicated cases.

With advanced training from Mount Sinai and an additional fellowship degree, our lead physician has returned to Connecticut to serve the community. Our practice offers skin cancer screenings and treatments, skin allergy testing, hair loss management, and the evaluation of all skin conditions. We also actively engage in volunteer efforts, including free skin cancer screenings for the fire department and the uninsured, demonstrating our commitment to giving back.

We believe that the skin, as the body's largest organ, plays a crucial role in overall health, and we are passionate about addressing intractable and undiagnosed skin concerns. At our practice, patients are never just a number; they are part of our community, and we are dedicated to their well-being.

Meaghan Dearwester, PA-C

Meaghan is a dedicated Physician Assistant committed to providing thorough, patient-centered dermatological care. She is passionate about caring for a wide range of skin conditions and believes that the best outcomes stem from collaborating closely with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans.

Meaghan earned her undergraduate degree from Amherst College and completed her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Bryant University. She subsequently deepened her clinical expertise with a fellowship in Emergency Medicine from Brown University Health.

Prior to transitioning to dermatology, Meaghan spent years honing her skills in the fast-paced environment of Emergency Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, and more recently in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery at Greenwich Hospital. This background in critical care has fueled her passion for the 'detective work' of dermatology, where she finds fulfillment in diagnosing complex rashes and utilizing specialized patch testing to identify elusive allergens.
